Snow Fun For Footy Fans As Bookies Slash Postponement Odds
The heavens opened on Monday as snow descended on much of the country and William Hill have cut the price of any Premier League fixture being postponed this weekend, due to adverse weather conditions, from 4/1 to 9/4.
"Most Premier League sides have contingency plans in place to ensure that matches go ahead every weekend and it is only the most extreme of weather conditions that can prevent a match taking place," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly. "We have cut the price to reflect the fact that this week/weekend may see such conditions."
Those of us looking to escape the wintry conditions over the next week may well be advised to avoid the airports as William Hill offer 6/1 for at least one runway at Heathrow to be shut down between now and midnight on Friday.
William Hill are offering 6/1 that the record coldest temperature is broken before the end of April.
9/4 any Premier League football match to be postponed for weather reasons
6/1 any Heathrow runway to shut between now and Friday evening due to weather reasons
