ATP Finals Betting Preview: Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction

Tennis Alcaraz

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner do battle once again as the two best tennis players on the planet go toe-to-toe in the ATP Finals later this evening.

One of the most exciting rivalries in the world of sport right now, Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz are both at the top of their game and all signs point towards an enthralling contest in Turin.

Having clashed on a number of occasions already in 2025, these players know each other extremely well and tennis fans are eagerly anticipating what will hopefully be a clash to savour on Sunday.

Sinner, the current world number one, is methodical and he boasts unrivalled power that can give him the edge in baseline rallies. He made light enough work of his rival at Wimbledon earlier this year, defeating the Spaniard in four sets to claim his first title at the event.

Since then, he has gone from strength to strength and confidence is sky high. Throw in the fact that the hostile Turin crowd will be fully behind him on Sunday evening and you can see why Alcaraz is the underdog in the betting.

Jannik Sinner v Carlos Alcaraz Odds:

Punters can bet on Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner at William Hill and here is the current state of the market ahead of today’s ATP Finals clash:

  • Carlos Alcaraz – 11/8
  • Jannik Sinner – 4/7

Alcaraz has flair and pazazz, with athleticism, speed and his shot-making ability giving him a chance in any contest. More often than not, he lines up as the favourite but he doesn’t mind being the underdog, and he has already beaten Sinner at a Grand Slam event (French Open) this season.

If the match develops into a ‘slog’ and it becomes a contest that focuses on rallies, then it will likely favour Sinner. But if Alcaraz can pull a rabbit out of the hat and win points with strong, aggressive net play, he has a great chance of pulling off the upset.

Fingers crossed for an open and expansive contest and it might be one for the ages. It would be some story if Alcaraz can clinch the victory but psychologically I think Sinner might prove too strong, particularly if he takes an early lead.

The Italian is one of those players that is very difficult to peg back and the first set could be decisive. Alcaraz simply has to go ahead early doors to stand a chance of victory, so expect a nail-biting opener with both players desperate to land the first blow.

Sinner vs Alcaraz Prediction: Both players to win a set at 11/10

Alcaraz v Sinner Set Betting Prediction: Sinner to win 2-1 at 13/5
