Benfica are 5/1 to win in Madrid, whilst 8/5 for a Real Madrid victory with both teams on the scoresheet looks like good value with William Hill.

The UEFA Champions League returns this week with some of Europe’s biggest clubs looking to put themselves on their way to Budapest for the final in May.

The first leg between these two sides made the headlines for all the wrong reasons last week but in terms of the football, it’s still finely poised as Real Madrid welcome Benfica to the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu with a 1-0 lead.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Champions League odds and betting angles for Wednesday’s fixture:

Real Madrid returned to domestic action on Saturday after winning the first leg of this UEFA Champions League tie in Lisbon but Los Blancos’ four game winning streak in all competitions came to surprising end with a 2-1 defeat to Osasuna, dropping them to second in La Liga.
Despite only a one goal lead, Real Madrid will be confident of progressing into the next round, especially given they’ve progressed from twenty-two of their last twenty-three UCL knockout ties after winning the first leg, Vinicius Junior scored the only goal in the first leg, he’s 3/1 with William Hill to provide an assist in this one.
Fourteen of Madrid’s last 15 UCL home games saw both teams score, whilst they’ve won fourteen of their last sixteen home games (L2) in all competitions, they’ve not played out a stalemate in any of their last twenty-five UCL fixtures.

Benfica head to Madrid where they need to win no matter what but history is against the Eagles as they’ve exited this competition in seven of the last eight occasions after they lost the first leg on home soil, not ideal.
We all know that Jose Mourinho can put together a real game plan in games like these but he’s struggled in recent years, he’s won none of his last nine UEFA Champions League knockout games which is staggering, his side are 5/1 to pull off an upset with a win in ninety minutes.
The Portuguese outfit have won only two of their previous fourteen UEFA away matches against Spanish teams (D3 L9), i’m going to back that run to continue on Wednesday night with a Real Madrid win but teams on the scoresheet.

Significant Conditions

The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
A “Qualifying Acca” is:
1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
4. On the Promotion Markets.
The “Promotion Markets” are:
1. 90 Minutes;
2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
3. Both Teams To Score;
4. Match Under/Over Goals.
No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost
4. 7 selections – 15% Acca Boost
5. 8 selections – 20% Acca Boost
6. 9 selections – 25% Acca Boost
7. 10 selections – 30% Acca Boost
8. 11 selections – 35% Acca Boost
9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
1. For retail customers: £2,000
2. For online customers: £10,000.
There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
For retail customers, the promotion is not available on standard over the counter bets.
