UEFA Champions League 2025/2026 – Top 8 Finish Odds & Predictions

The UEFA Champions League is back for the 71st edition of the Europe’s most prestigious club football competition, with Paris Saint-Germain looking to defend their crown.
@Footy_Tipster gives his best predictions ahead of this UEFA Champions League campaign..
The last UEFA Champions League campaign was the first in it’s new format and despite much debate about how it would fare against the traditional format, we witnessed plenty of drama with some of the biggest games in club football throughout the competition.

Thirty-six teams make up the Champions League group phase, each team will play eight games in the group stage over the next five months, with the top eight sides progressing through into the round of 16, will we see some shocks like last season?
Now, let’s take a closer look at some UEFA Champions League Top 8 Finish Odds and predictions:
*All odds subject to change – prices correct at the time of writing*
Barcelona – 4/9
- It’s no surprise to see Barcelona as the favourites for a top 8 finish, i think Hansi Flick’s side will go all the way in this competition and that includes finishing at the top of the group stage, which means a top 8 finish for the European giants is a given for me.
Liverpool – 1/2
- Liverpool have have some tricky fixtures to get through in order to finish at the top of the group, including Galatasaray (A), Real Madrid (H) and Inter Milan (A) but the Reds continue to get results under Arne Slot and a top 8 finish will be expecting in this campaign.
Paris Saint-Germain – 1/2
- PSG have a mixed bag of fixtures but will be expected to finish in the top 8 given they are the defending champions. However, my concern would be how they started the last UEFA Champions League campaign, with the eventual winners actually finishing in the play-off places.
Arsenal – 8/15
- Arsenal have got quite a few “winnable” fixtures in their UEFA Champions League group stage, although they’ve got to play Atleti and Bayern Munich, fixtures against Slavia Prague, Club Brugge, Olimpiacos and Kairat Almaty should see them put themselves in with a huge shout of automatic qualification.
Real Madrid – 4/6
- Real Madrid are priced at 4/6 to finish in the top 8 of the UEFA Champions League group and that’s because they’ve got to face Liverpool, Manchester City and Juventus to name a few, although Xabi Alonso’s side should progress into the next round, they might have to do it via the play-offs like they did in the previous campaign.
Manchester City – 8/11
- Manchester City should make it through via the automatic places given their fixtures, a trip to Real Madrid looks the toughest test and if Pep Guardiola can get some consistency within his sides performances, i think a top 8 finish is highly likely.
Best Of The Rest:
- Bayern Munich – 5/6 – This is one of my picks.
- Chelsea – EVS
- Inter Milan – 7/4
- Napoli – 2/1 – This is one of my picks.
- Tottenham – 2/1
- Atletico Madrid – 2/1
- Newcastle – 5/2
- Juventus – 3/1
