East Anglian Derby Final Tips: The Fastest Isn’t The Pick
William Hill Ambassador Dani Jackson is on hand with her pick in the East Anglian Greyhound Derby Grand Final on Wednesday night.
Wednesday, Yarmouth
A belter of a card on the east coast tonight with three finals to enjoy over two, four and six bends.
Sticking with HASSELBOMB for the big one, the Yarmouth derby (8.47pm) as he is an absolute rocket out of the traps. He recorded a five fifteen out of the boxes in both rounds and another of those is needed tonight. He’s made almost eighty spots from his trial time and needs to find another twenty to beat the quickest in the field in the stripes, Droopys Buck.
He doesn’t have a great draw though and if the bomb gets out quickly again, he should easily get first run and be able to make most, if not all. The danger for me is Patrick Janssens’ Romeo Ability, who has snuck through in both rounds after trouble. He’s looking to win this race and give Patrick his third in a row in the East Anglian Derby.
I do think he’ll come up slightly short though. Look out for the boosts and the extra markets available on the sensational action at Yarmouth tonight.
