Champions League: Why Monaco are a dangerous draw for the holders PSG

William Hill has Monaco priced up at 4/1 to beat the UEFA Champions League holders PSG, whilst a PSG win with both teams on the scoresheet is priced at 9/5.

The UEFA Champions League returns this week with some of Europe’s biggest clubs looking to put themselves on their way to Budapest for the final in May.

An all-French affair will take place on Tuesday night in the UEFA Champions League, as AS Monaco welcome the reigning champions PSG to the Stade Louis II in this intriguing encounter.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some Champions League odds and betting angles for Tuesday’s fixture:

Monaco v PSG – Tuesday, 8pm

This is the first meeting between these two sides in a UEFA Competition, Monaco have faced Marseille before back in the 1998/1999 UEFA Cup third round, a tie in which the Red and Whites were eliminated.
Monaco have lost only one of their last seven UEFA Champions League games, whilst they’ve won three of their last five meetings (D1 L1) with PSG on home soil, they are priced at 4/1 to win this one whilst you can back them on the ’90 Minutes – 2 Up’ market at 18/5.
Seven of the last ten games involving Monaco have produced at least four goals, whilst they are currently on a run of 315 minutes without conceding at home in the competition, since Erling Haaland’s goal there for Manchester City last October.

PSG dropped back down to second in Ligue 1 following their 3-1 defeat at Rennes on Friday evening, their first defeat since losing away to Sporting in this competition around a month ago, they’ll be looking to bounce back.
That’s easier said than done though given Luis Enrique’s side haven’t won any of their last three UEFA Champions League games, although PSG have won 67% of their matches in the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League under Enrique, they are 9/5 to win this one with both teams scoring.
With eight of PSG’s last ten UCL games producing at least three goals, whilst seven of the last nine meetings here between the two sides have also produced at least three goals, i’m going to back goals here with an away win.

Prediction: Both Teams To Score & PSG To Win (9/5), Monaco 1-3 PSG (10/1).

Significant Conditions

The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
A “Qualifying Acca” is:
1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
4. On the Promotion Markets.
The “Promotion Markets” are:
1. 90 Minutes;
2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
3. Both Teams To Score;
4. Match Under/Over Goals.
No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost
4. 7 selections – 15% Acca Boost
5. 8 selections – 20% Acca Boost
6. 9 selections – 25% Acca Boost
7. 10 selections – 30% Acca Boost
8. 11 selections – 35% Acca Boost
9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
1. For retail customers: £2,000
2. For online customers: £10,000.
There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
For retail customers, the promotion is not available on standard over the counter bets.
