The UEFA Champions League returns this week with some of Europe’s biggest clubs looking to put themselves on their way to Budapest for the final in May.

For the fifth season in a row, Real Madrid and Manchester City will battle it out once again in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Now, let’s take a closer look at some UEFA Champions League odds and betting angles for Wednesday’s fixture:

Real Madrid v Manchester City – Wednesday, 8pm

We have to start by saying this simply isn’t the same Real Madrid that we’ve had the pleasure of watching in the last couple of years, their 2-1 victory in the UEFA Champions League play-off against Benfica here was sandwiched between two defeats in the league against Osasuna and Getafe, whilst they left it late against Celta Vigo on Friday evening to take all three points (1-2).
Los Blancos will be hopeful of picking up a result in this first leg, especially as they have won thirteen of their last fifteen Champions League round of 16 ties and triumphed in the first leg in ten of their last 12 ties at this stage, although they lost their meeting here 2-1 back in December during the league phase.
Despite losing three of their last four UEFA matches against English opposition, Real Madrid have lost just three of their last twenty-five Champions League home games (W19, D3) against all clubs, therefore victory at 12/5 with William Hill could be seen as value.

Manchester City travel to Madrid off the back of a 3-1 victory away at Newcastle on Saturday night to secure their spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals but not only did they win that game, it’s one of the best performances i’ve seen from Pep Guardiola’s side all season, they were brilliant.
Man City have lost only three of their last 18 UEFA matches against Spanish teams (W10 D5) and won both of their away games against Spanish opposition in this season’s competition (v Villarreal and Real Madrid), they are EVS to win here at the Santiago Bernabeu with William Hill.
Five of Manchester City’s last six away UCL games saw both teams score whilst the same outcome has occurred in ten of their last eleven meetings with Real Madrid, i’m expecting this one to be no different but the away side to edge it.

Significant Conditions

The promotion runs from 08:00 (UK time) on Thursday 7th August 2025 until otherwise cancelled by us in accordance with these Terms (the “Promotion Period”).
This Acca Boost promotion is available to both online customers in the United Kingdom and Ireland using the William Hill website (williamhill.com – the “Website”) or William Hill iOS or Android Mobile app (together, the “Apps”) and UK retail customers in William Hill shops.
To qualify, place a Qualifying Acca on a Sports Betting Terminal or over the counter on Smart Hub SSBT in William Hill shops, or online via the Website or the App, during the Promotion Period.
A “Qualifying Acca” is:
1. A cash stake of any value (no minimum stake);
2. On any football acca made of 4 or more selections;
3. Each with odds of 1/5 (1.2) or bigger;
4. On the Promotion Markets.
The “Promotion Markets” are:
1. 90 Minutes;
2. 90 Minutes 2 Up;
3. Both Teams To Score;
4. Match Under/Over Goals.
No opt in required. If the requirements of a Qualifying Acca are met, the promotion will be applied automatically. If any acca contains any selection with odds of less than 1/5 (1.2), it will not be a Qualifying Acca.
Qualifying Acca wins (less the value of the original stake) will receive an “Acca Boost”, whereby winnings will be boosted by a variable percentage, dependent on the number of selections in the Qualifying Acca:
1. 4 selections – 5% Acca Boost
2. 5 selections – 7.5% Acca Boost
3. 6 selections – 10% Acca Boost
4. 7 selections – 15% Acca Boost
5. 8 selections – 20% Acca Boost
6. 9 selections – 25% Acca Boost
7. 10 selections – 30% Acca Boost
8. 11 selections – 35% Acca Boost
9. 12 selections – 40% Acca Boost
10. 13 selections – 45% Acca Boost
11. 14 selections – 50% Acca Boost
12. 15 selections or above – 100% Acca Boost
The increasing percentage of rewards in the Acca Boost reflects the relative risk of placing Qualifying Accas with a higher number of selections.
The following maximum Acca Boost amounts will be applied per Qualifying Acca:
1. For retail customers: £2,000
2. For online customers: £10,000.
There is no daily limit of Qualifying Accas.
In the case of void selections within a Qualifying Acca, the Acca Boost will still apply but the percentage applied will be calculated according to the final number of winning selections.
In the case of an Acca dropping to three selections or less, the acca will lose its Qualifying Acca status and Acca Boost will not apply.
Any Acca Boost on winnings will be applied as part of the standard bet settlement process.
Bets you place using free bets cannot be combined with the Acca Boost
Any acca that has been cashed out will not be eligible for an Acca Boost.
For retail customers, the promotion is not available on standard over the counter bets.
