What are the odds for Bodo/Glimt to win the Champions League?

The Arctic Underdog Story No One Saw Coming…

@Footy_Tipster takes a look at everything you need to know about Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League..

Bet on the UEFA Champions League with William Hill.

Who are Bodo/Glimt?

Bodø/Glimt are a football club from a Norwegian fishing town of just 55,000 people and they are starting to hit the headlines having reached the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 with victories against Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan along the way, whilst at the time of writing, they have one foot in the quarter-finals having beat Sporting Club 3-0 in the first leg of their Round of 16 tie.

Superlaget do have an advantage given they play on a plastic pitch, 1,000km above Oslo, inside the Arctic Circle, in a stadium that holds 8,270 people, which is smaller than some EFL League Two ground. Their floodlights were bought second-hand from another club in 2001 and initially alarmed aircraft landing at the airport next door and when they reached the Europa League semi-final against Tottenham, only 480 general sale tickets were available, over 50,000 requests came in. People reportedly offered dried fish and reindeer meat in exchange for a ticket.

How did Bodø/Glimt qualify for the Champions League knockouts?

They squeezed through as the 23rd-placed team in the league phase, a 2-1 victory away at Atletico Madrid on the final night of the league phase was enough for the Norwegian side to sneak through on goal difference, then the knockout draw handed them Inter Milan, who they demolished 5-2 across two legs: 3-1 at home in the Arctic, then a completely unexpected 2-1 win at the San Siro, remarkable given they had never won a UEFA Champions League game before this campaign.

What William Hill’s betting odds tell us about Bodo/Glimt’s Champions League chances.

Love a big outsider? Bodø/Glimt’s UCL winner odds are eye-watering — check them at William Hill.

Having won their first leg in the Round of 16 against Sporting Club (3-0), Bodo/Glimt are well on their way to the quarter-final stage where they would meet either Bayer Leverkusen or Arsenal over two-legs. At the time of writing, Bodo/Glimt are a huge 28/1 with William Hill to win the UEFA Champions League, whilst they remain at 14/1 to reach the final in Budapest.

What odds does William Hill offer on Bodø/Glimt to reach the quarter-finals?

As mentioned, with a 3-0 lead from their first leg before heading over to Lisbon, Bodo/Glimt are firm favourites to reach the quarter-final stage of this competition, with the leading bookmaker pricing the Norwegian side at 2/11.

Is Bodø/Glimt worth an each-way bet in the Champions League?

Why not? They’ve already had the better of Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan and Sporting Club in recent games, not many sides will fancy their chances on a plastic pitch inside the Arctic Circle, football is a funny old game as we know and at 28/1 with William Hill to win the lot, it’s a big ask but stranger things have happened in the beautiful game.

What are the best bets on the Sporting CP vs Bodø/Glimt second leg?

Second leg in Lisbon on 17 March 2026 — find Sporting CP vs Bodø/Glimt odds at William Hill.

The game is set to take place in Lisbon on Tuesday 17th March 2026, Bodo/Glimt simply have to avoid defeat by three or more goals to ensure their spot in the quarter-finals, i’m expecting the Norwegian side to sit in for a little bit before trying to catch Sporting Club on the counter-attack, i think over 3.5 goals at 21/20 with William Hill looks good value.
