French Open Tips Today: Best Bets At Roland Garros On Thursday
William Hill News preview the biggest matches at Roland Garros on Thursday, with Sam Cox giving his best bets on the French Open action.
Only one of the top 14 seeds has survived to the semi-finals of the 2026 Women’s French Open. Upsets have been prevalent throughout the tournament, and two more big names fell at the quarter-final stage.
French Open Predictions – Thursday 4th June 2026:
- Marta Kostyuk -1.5 games (17/20)
- Diana Shnaider -3.5 games (Evens)
With the tournament now at the business end, the battle to lift the illustrious trophy and secure the lucrative Roland Garros prize pot is now hotter than ever. Without further ado, here are our tennis betting tips for Thursday’s semi-finals:
Marta Kostyuk vs Mirra Andreeva
Winning in Rouen and Madrid set Marta Kostyuk up for a deep run at Roland Garros. The Ukrainian has delivered, reaching the semi-final to make it 17 consecutive wins, including victories over Elina Svitolina and Iga Świątek.
Mirra Andreeva is the narrow underdog here, despite dropping just one set in the tournament. Andreeva dropped just three games to Sorana Cîrstea in the quarter-final, but she lost the Madrid final to Kostyuk in straight sets. Kostyuk also beat Andreeva on the hard courts of Adelaide earlier this year.
The winner of this match will be the clear favourite in the final. There couldn’t be much more pressure on these two players – with so many of the world’s best eliminated, the stakes are incredibly high as they each pursue their first Grand Slam final appearance.
It’s hard to bet against Kostyuk at the moment. Her win in Madrid is fresh in the memory, and the only question for bettors is whether Andreeva’s experience advantage can swing this in her favour.
Maja Chwalińska vs Diana Shnaider
All the attention was on an extraordinary meltdown from Aryna Sabalenka, but Diana Shnaider showed incredible endurance, grit, and skill to win 12 out of 13 games to come back from a set and 4-1 down in the quarter-finals.
Shnaider has a golden opportunity against Maja Chwalińska on Thursday. This is only their second meeting, with Shnaider winning in straight sets when they met on clay four years ago.
Things have fallen into place for world number 114 Chwalińska at this French Open. It’s still be a highly impressive run, however, including a straight sets win over Anna Kalinskaya in the quarters.
Aside from a win over Leylah Fernandez in Charleston, there wasn’t much to suggest this run was coming from Shnaider. This could come down to which player copes better with the pressure of potentially reaching a Slam final.
