Match-day 6 – Serie A 2015/16

 

Atalanta - Sampdoria

  • Atalanta and Sampdoria have shared just a draw in their last 15 Serie A meetings (Samp lead by eight wins to six).
  • Atalanta have failed to score in six of their last nine league games against Sampdoria.
  • Over the last five meetings in Bergamo there has never been the same result in consecutive games.
  • Of the two teams involved in the last two Serie A seasons, Atalanta and Empoli are those with the fewest games won (nine) since the start of 2014/15.

Inter - Fiorentina

  • Over the last three seasons, Inter and Fiorentina have shared three wins apiece.

  • The last time the Bianconeri had recorded a win, two losses and two draws after five match-days of a Serie A season was in 1970/71, when they went on to finish 4th in Serie A.
  • Massimiliano Allegri's side have conceded goals in eight of their last nine league games.
  • Napoli have collected only six points from their first five games of the season, their worst start in Serie A since 2009/10, when they finished 6th.
  • Last Wednesday against Carpi, Napoli failed to score for the first time ending a run of 13 league games finding the back of the net.

Roma - Carpi

  • Roma's last four Serie A games at home have seen both teams finding the net.
  • Overall, Garcia's side have scored in each of their last 16 league games between this and last season (a total of 24 goals).
  • Carpi have conceded goals in each of their last five away games between Serie A and Serie B (11 in the process).
  • Carpi are winless in their last eight league fixtures this and last season, but have managed two draws in their last three Serie A games against Palermo and Napoli.
  • The last time Roma lost back-to-back games in Serie A was in May 2014.
  • In their first two campaigns under Rudi Garcia, Roma had always won their opening five games of the season in Serie A, conceding only one goal on both occasions (they've already shipped six in this campaign).

Sassuolo - Chievo

  • A total of only three goals have been scored over the four previous Serie A meetings between these two sides, with two wins for Sassuolo and one for Chievo.
  • Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last five home games in the league (W3 D2).
  • Overall, Sassuolo are unbeaten in their last 10 Serie A games (W7 D3), their longest run in Serie A, and currently the longest amongst teams in this competition.
  • Sassuolo have already scored with six different players in the Serie A 2015/16, including five of their seven current strikers.
  • Sassuolo have found the net in each of their last nine league fixtures.

Torino - Palermo

  • The last four league meetings between these two sides have ended in a draw: two 2-2s last season, and two 0-0s in 2013/14.
