Serie A Opta Facts 2013/14 - Week 14

 

Atalanta - Roma

  • Roma and Atalanta haven't shared the points in any of their last 17 Serie A meetings (12 wins for the Giallorossi, five for the Orobici).
  • Roma have won five of their last six league matches against Atalanta, and eight of the last 10.
  • The last eight meetings between these two sides at Bergamo have alterned a win for the host to a win for the visitors - the last match involving these sides was won by Roma, 3-2.
  • Atalanta have conceded goals in each of their last six Serie A fixtures.
  • Atalanta are unbeaten in their last four home league games (W3 D1).
  • Roma are the only side still unbeaten in this Serie A campaign: however, the Giallorossi have drawn their last three league fixtures, after having won each of the previous 10.
  • Roma are unbeaten in their last nine league games away from home (W7 D2).
  • Atalanta are yet to score in the opening 15 minutes of play, while Roma are the only side yet to concede in that period.

Cagliari - Sassuolo

  • This will be the first Serie A meeting between Cagliari and Sassuolo.
  • Last Monday against Roma, Cagliari kept their first clean sheet in this Serie A season.
  • The Rossoblu have obtained a win and a draw in their last two league fixtures, after they had lost each of the previous three.
  • Cagliari have drawn five league games so far, only Torino have had more in this Serie A season (six).

Catania - Milan

  • AC Milan are unbeaten in their last 24 Serie A meetings with Catania.
  • Catania have picked up only one point in their last five league clashes against the Rossoneri.
  • AC Milan have scored at least one goal in each of their last 16 Serie A encounters against Catania.
  • AC Milan fired 28 shots (excluding blocked) in their last match against Catania - the most for a team in a single Serie A game last season. 14 of those shots were on target.

Chievo - Livorno

  • Chievo and Livorno have met eight times in Serie A so far: seven wins for the Venetians, one draw.
  • Livorno have scored only three goals agains Chievo in the top-flight.
  • Chievo have won each of their four Serie A meetings at home against Livorno, scoring seven goals and shipping only two.
  • Chievo have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three league fixtures - they have managed to keep four consecutive clean sheets only twice in their Serie A history (the last in 2003/04).
  • Chievo had a goalless draw in their last home game. Prior to this, they had lost three consecutive home league fixtures.

  • Fiorentina and Verona have drawn only one of their last 12 league encounters (2-2 back in February 2000).
  • Hellas Verona won their last Serie A game versus Fiorentina at the Franchi back to October 2001 - previously the Viola had succeded in five consecutive home meetings.

  • Parma and Bologna have met 28 times so far in Serie A, winning nine times each (10 draws).

  • Over their last nine league meetings at the Tardini, Parma and Bologna have never repeated the same result twice in a row. The last match at Parma ended in a 2-0 win for the visitors.
  • After winning at Napoli, Parma have ended a three-game winless row in Serie A (D1 L2).
  • Against Napoli, Parma kept a clean sheet for the first time after eight league games in which they had conceded goals.
  • Bologna are without a win in their last three league fixtures (D2 L1) and have scored only two goals in the process.
