The Chevin's 'Champion' In New Look William Hill Ad
William Hill's latest ad campaign kicks off tonight during the Sheffield United vs Notts County featuring a track called "Champion"target="_blank" by Yorkshire band , The Chevin. The track has amassed over 500,000 views on Youtube since it was uploaded almost a year ago and that number could grow even further after the airing of the ad tonight.
The song has featured on FIFA 2013 so is already synonymous with football and the deal with William Hill will only further that reputation. In the meantime, the song has been performed live on Conan O'Brien and Letterman in the States, while the band have toured with Franz Ferdinand, White Lies and The Pigeon Detectives.
"The band are absolutely fanatical about their sport and as soon as William Hill offered the opportunity to be involved with their brand they jumped at the chance," said Adam Greenup Head of the band's label, SO Recordings. "The song itself is very anthemic and the lyrics are all about winning which is perfect given that people try their best to win against the bookies."
The Chevin's album, Borderland, is out now.
