William Hill News look ahead to the 2026 Wimbledon men’s final, ahead of Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev on Sunday afternoon.

The top two seeds meet in the men’s singles final on Sunday afternoon. Jannik Sinner, looking to defend his Wimbledon title, is the clear tennis betting favourite over Alexander Zverev, who is looking to make it back-to-back Grand Slam wins after his win at Roland Garros.

Zverev ended Arthur Fery’s Wimbledon dream in pretty emphatic fashion on Friday. Fery forced a tiebreak in the first set, but couldn’t live with Zverev’s power throughout the second and third sets.

Sinner made light work of Novak Djokovic in the second semifinal. It was a straight sets win for the Italian. He’s not dropped a set since his first round scare, and enters with nine wins in a row over Zverev.

Zverev hasn’t won a set in his last six matches against Sinner. Despite being the second seed, there’s little to suggest Zverev can live with Sinner in a best-of-five match. There’s a chasm between these two players – Zverev must be at his absolute best and Sinner needs to have an off-day for the German to stand a chance.

After beating Djokovic, Sinner said, “I knew mentally that today I had to raise my level – which I’ve done – so I’m very happy.”

If he plays at that level on Sunday, this could be wrapped up pretty quickly. Zverev’s success at the French Open doesn’t mean he can go toe-to-toe with the world number one.
