Wimbledon Day 2 Predictions: Best Bets On Tuesday 30th June 2026

| BY Sam Cox

With the 2026 Wimbledon first round getting underway on Monday, attention turns to Tuesday’s action at SW19 and William Hill News have you covered.

Wimbledon Predictions Tuesday:

  • Alexander Zverev -6.5 games (11/10)
  • Taylor Fritz to win 3-1 (10/3)
  • Katie Boulter -3.5 games (8/11)
  • Elise Mertens -3.5 games (8/13)

Tuesday’s Wimbledon slate features some home favourites, a recent Grand Slam winner, and a couple of potential dark horses. Here are our tennis betting picks:

Alexander Blockx vs Alexander Zverev

Alexander Blockx and Alexander Zverev have met twice in 2026, their only two meetings to date. Zverev saw off Blockx in straight sets on the clay of Rome and Madrid, and the young Belgian can count himself unfortunate to have such a daunting first-round opponent after his breakout performances earlier this year.

Numerous top 30 players have been beaten by Blockx on clay. This is the first time he’s appeared in Wimbledon’s first round, though, and his record on grass leaves plenty to be desired.

Zverev’s confidence is high after winning the French Open, despite a semifinal exit in Halle.

Taylor Fritz vs Jack Draper

It’s a daunting first-round matchup for Jack Draper, with Taylor Fritz coming off runs to the final at Halle and Stuttgart. Draper, in contrast, has only played four matches since retiring from Barcelona in April.

The Brit reached the semis in Eastbourne before losing in straight sets to Ugo Humbert. He’s never been beyond the semi finals at Wimbledon and has endured a very difficult 12 months.

Draper has won the last two meetings between these players, but the form book points towards a Fritz win.

Katie Boulter vs Tyra Caterina Grant

An 18-year-old qualifier, Tyra Caterina Grant reached the final in Foggia and has two titles on the ITF Circuit in 2026. Grant is competing in the first round of a Grand Slam for the first time ever.

Katie Boulter beat Elena Rybakina and Leylah Fernandez at Queen’s before losing to Fernandez in three sets in Hamburg. A difficult time on clay shouldn’t be read into too deeply given Boulter’s stronger record on grass.

Rightly favoured here, Boulter should see off the talented youngster with relative ease.

Elise Mertens vs Laura Siegemund

Elise Mertens and Laura Siegemund are matching up for a third time, though it is their first contest since 2020. Aside from beating Jasmine Paolini on Rome’s clay, it’s not been the best few months for Mertens.

Siegemund is in a similar spot. She’s not won three matches in a row since the Wuhan Open last October. A quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon in 2025 feels like a long time ago.

Mertens should be able to get the job done relatively easily.
